Aloha Auto was recommended to me by two friends, one of whom knows a lot about cars but has no time to work on them himself. After showing my friend an estimate of repairs from a well-known national tire company headquartered in Oregon, he recommended I try Aloha Auto. Kevin was a delight to work with and after discussing what the mechanic suggested, time, and most important to me, cost, I decided on Aloha Auto. It was a terrific experience, and I have already passed on the company’s business card to another friend. Perhaps the most disheartening information I received was from the technician from the national tire company, who said there was a problem with my struts and they were leaking so I needed them replaced. Aloha Auto did not find any leakage and told me I didn’t need to replace the struts if I didn’t want to. We saved a lot of $$$ and will be back to Aloha Auto when we need more repairs, maintenance, and/or tires.

I was new to the area and selected them based on review on “Click & Clack”. They diagnosed my ‘check engine’ light and did all the work needed while I waited. The next week I took my pickup down to L.A. and got the best gas mileage ever. I will return.

agree with the other reviewers here. This shop is top notch. I took my Cherokee here for an electrical problem and they solved it in 1 day and for a price that I felt was very fair for the amount of work needed to find the short. They also recommended another repair but were very honest about it. I didn’t get it at the time but will probably be back to get it done. Highly recommended!

Great place. Trust worthy and honest. Hard to find in a mechanics shop. All the work was done on time. They had the old parts to show me what failed and explained why. Thanks!

I have had my car repaired a couple of times in the last 6 months at Aloha Auto Center. Both times I was treated with respect, my car was ready when they said it would be and they have done an excellent job. I will be coming back in the future for auto work. I do recommend them to others.

Despite living in Tigard, I will still drive all the way out to Hillsboro to bring my car to these guys. They do really good service. They don’t oversell you or treat you like an idiot, it’s all just matter-of-fact work, get in, get out. You tell them what’s wrong, they’ll look into it. That’s all I really ask of mechanics. It can be annoying looking for a mechanic when you move into an area, so, as a native local who goes here (along with my dad), I wanted to write a review in their favor for any potential new customers.

Our family has gone to this shop for over 10 years. They’ve always done an excellent job. I feel that they have always been honest, and they usually manage to come in a bit under their estimate. This is the only place that we take our cars for repair and service. We run our cars for as long as is possible, and I feel that they understand that balance between the need for service/repairs and our need to not spend money. They have never incorrectly fixed anything, and always answer all my questions. Their work is timely, and we can drop of the car the night before a repair is to be done, which is very convenient.

I had taken my car to 2 other places to have a new to me used car check out and also have a whining noise checked out. The first shop told me it needed $1750 worth of work and I didn’t beleive it so took it elsewhere. The second shop said it didn’t need brake work at all and thought the sound was something else. Aloha auto said it only needed the back pads done and didn’t need the rotors like the first shop did and that there was a small leak in the power steering system but it just needed watched and not replaced at this time. I hadn’t told them that I was checking up on what other shops told me. They were fair, honest and practical as well as doing the work quickly and keeping me informed along the way. I will definitely keep them as my mechanics.

Not 100% sure how I located this shop but for the last few years, we have trusted Kevin, Terry and company to maintain our small fleet of Toyota vehicles. Not only are they friendly but they are knowledgeable and do quality work.!”Word of mouth” is the best form of advertisement. Told my brother-in-law about them and now he takes his fleet of Toyota vehicles to Aloha Auto for dealer-like repairs but at a fraction of the price.
